CPC have been working on and around water since the mid Nineties and as such have gained a vastly experienced workforce.
Woodhouses is located just outside the village of Yoxall. A section 101a application was made for a new public foul water sewer for the village in May 2013. The scheme is looking to provide a FWS to serve the village with two pumping stations.
All properties in the area are currently served by private septic tanks and soakaways which are unable to function effectively due to high water table and clay geology. During times of heavy rainfall sewage effluent from the septic tanks is unable to drain away properly.
The new sewerage system will connect into the existing system at the bottom of Town Hill which drains to Bond End TPS before being pumped to the sewerage treatment works in Yoxall.
The recommended solution includes:
- Construction of 1695m of 150mm dia gravity sewer in the highway of Town Hill, Woodhouses.
- Construction of lateral sewers to connect forty one properties to the new public sewer.
- Construction of one new sewage pumping station, with template SPS equipment in private land. This will be a layby pumping station.
- Construction of a new template sewage pumping station in private land, using area of wasteland and existing access.
- Construction of two new 80-100mm dia rising mains in the highway of Town Hill, totalling 760m.
Project Benefits:
- Will enable a total of forty one properties to connect onto the public sewerage system.
- Will provide public sewerage connection to five duty properties and enable a further thirty six properties.
- Pollution in the community will be eliminated by the installation of the new public FW sewer.
